FAQ – Weddings

What do you look for at a Wedding?

I’m looking for your story, those personal pieces that are you as well as the environment that is surrounding you. Before your day I would have also liked to find out what is important to you both, perhaps a close friend or a family member, or anything that holds sentiment to you. As much as i want to be creative with my approach to your day, it is more important that I capture those people and places that are important to you. Or capture them both in a creative way!

Where are you based? Is travel to different locations an option?

I live in the little Surf town of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, but there are no borders that I wouldn’t cross for your day. I’ve already documented weddings in Victoria, New Zealand and Japan. With weddings booked for Hawaii and South Korea later this year, travelling to the furthest locations is always an option.

Will we get family photos on the day?

Without weddings, bringing our family and loved ones together can be very difficult, and for me personally my family is everything. Therefore, making sure they are part of your story is essential to my job. It will only be over time that the true value of these photos are deeply felt; whether it be candid or structured together, we will make sure those who are dearest to you are captured.

Is a second shooter needed?

I do my absolute best to make sure this isn’t necessary but it really depends on what you are hoping to achieve on the day. Should the bride and groom be getting ready in different locations that are a long distance apart, a second shooter is a necessary option to capture both people during those precious moments. Or should you want images of the guests at the reception, whilst we are shooting your portraits, a second shooter is, again, a good option. For whatever the reason, a second shooter can be great to ensure that absolutely nothing is left out. However, it is not necessary and is something we can discuss before your Wedding day.

Second shooter costs:  $400 for 3hrs | $700 for 6 hrs.

How many images do we get?

I don’t like to let to many moments slip by, so I tend to select around 600 – 900 images. These images are then completely edited and presented on a secure online gallery as high-resolution photos, ready for you to print.

When can we see them?

As this is an incredibly special day, I can appreciate how excited you and all your guests would be to re-live those happy moments. As such, 3 days after your wedding, I will post a couple of tasters online so you get a feel for what we have created togther. The final selection of edited images will be available within 8 weeks.

How Much?

There is a great deal of financial investment on a wedding day and you want to make sure you are getting the best value. As such, I believe it is important to meet with your photographer prior to making any agreements. This is to ensure that you all connect and are striving for the same outcomes prior to making any agreements. Wedding coverage starts at $2800 for 6hrs. Click Investment in the About at top of page.

Do we need an album?

It’s all too common in a digital world to allow our photos to be left sitting on your hard drive, or get lost on the FB timeline. Having an album to hold in your hands is a doorway back to the most amazing day of your lives. It will always be there for you to escape to, or snuggle on the couch and reflect upon. I highly recommend investing in this family heirloom.

What is the process of booking?

I would love to meet you first, and if not in person then via the Skype highway. As mentioned above, it is important that your photographer is the perfect fit for you. After we have met, should you believe we make a great match we lock your date in with a $1000 non-refundable deposit. Due to the nature of weddings occurring on a weekend and people making bookings well and truly in advance, I suggest that couples secure their date with me as soon as they can.
